Ellu urandai...(sweet)

Ellu urandai is the simplest recipe we usually prepared for VINAYAGAR CHATHRUTHI.. With this poornam you can make ELLU KOZHUKATTAI also.... This recipe is kid friendly & it is rich in fiber content..very healthy snack for all...




Preparation time- 5-7mins  Cooking time- 15mins

INGREDIENTS:

Black sesame seeds- 1 cup
Jaggery- 3/4 cup( adjust to your taste)
Cardamom powder- a pinch
Cashew nut- 5(broken)  (OPTIONAL)

METHOD:

  • Dry roast the sesame seeds till get nice aroma.... keep it aside
  • Now powder the jaggery & keep it aside..
  • Take a blender, add the roasted sesame seeds & powdered jaggery, pinch of cardamom powder into it.... Grind into fine coarse powder...
  • Combine & roll into tight small balls(NO NEED TO ADD WATER)
  • Repeat to make small equal sized balls....
  • Smoothy ellu urandai is ready...have a bite..!!!!
